Problemi con ftp

Ciao Sono sempre Zeppe, quello di uniboom.gnumerica.org (lo spazio x gli universitari bolognesi) Continuo a non riuscire ad accedere in ftp, spesso mi da 'Only anonymous ftp allowed', altre volte non trova proprio il dns e/o l'ip. Ho provato ad accedere con l'ip, con ftp.gnumerica.org, con laundry.circolab.net , con www.circolab.net ... niente da fare. Da cosa dipende? c'è speranza? se di questi tempi siete troppo incasinati vi lascio tranquilli e mi rivolgo ad autistici/inventati... non so, ditemi voi. Ciao Zeppe

Problema con fs

Ciao, io ho un grosso problema: Un bel giorno decido di liberare una mia partizione (montata come root) da un po' di garbage. Libero 400 Mb circa , rebootto e che succede? spazio libero 0! Forse ero drogato e ho sognato di aver liberato spazio quindi libero ancora un 60 Mb. ok... La cosa mi puzza quindi faccio un bel df -h e cosa scopro? Filesystem Dimens. Usati Disp. Uso% Montato su /dev/hda5 9.9G 9.2G 223M 98% / /dev/hda2 69M 17M 49M 26% /boot none 185M 0 185M 0% /dev/shm /dev/hda6 9.6G 6.0G 3.6G 63% /home /dev/hda1 10G 9.5G 600M 95% /mnt/windows /dev/hda7 6.6G 6.2G 58M 100% /mnt/pippo (la partizione incriminata e' hda7, ma ragionandoci vedo che anche hda5 ha lo stesso problema) Vedo che hda7 usa 6.2G pero' disponibili 58MB?!?!?! dove sono andati a finire gli altri 400MB?????? E' un fs ext3... ho eseguito un fsck ma non e' cambiato nulla... chi mi sa dare una spiegazione?? Grazie Ciao Rick

sistema di backup

dato che laundry e' messo sempre male i backup diventano prioritari. mi sono messo ieri notte a fare un piccolo delirio x gestire i backup. il principio e' questo: prendo la directory /etc/backup/ ci metto delle directory: cron.1h script di backup da eseguire ogni ora cron.24h script di backup da eseguire ogni 24 ore cron.4h script di backup da eseguire ogni 4 ore poi in crontab dico di eseguire tutti gli script contenuti nella directory con il comando run-parts lanciato direttamente da crontab 23 * * * * root run-parts --report /etc/backup/cron.1h 12 23/4 * * * root run-parts --report /etc/backup/cron.4h 44 04 * * * root run-parts --report /etc/backup/cron.24h ora nelle varie dir di cron.1h ci metto degli script che fanno i backup. allego un paio di abbozzi x fare capire meglio. ciao! -- BOFH excuse #78: Yes, yes, its called a design limitation

non aprite quella laundry....

ieri sera ennesimo delirio al circolab con laundry. premessa: ieri mi ero fissato di mettere il kernel 2.4 su laundry per riuscire a fare il raid tra il disco da 4 giga ibm e il "raid". metto il 2.4 e cominciano ad arrivare problemi, come l'altra volta. a quel punto torno al 2.2 e a quel punto comincio a vedere tanti e tanti messaggi di errore su tutti i servizi che laundry attiva che penso: ok. il disco e' morto del tutto. attimi di panico. spengo laundry, e la riavvio sempre con il 2.2. tutto perfetto. boh. a quel punto penso: ok, il kernel 2.4 su laundry (inteso come computer, non come unita' a dischi) non ci vuole andare, cambiamo il server, e teniamo gli stessi dischi. io e profe raccattiamo un computer dal cimitero e ci mettiamo un controller scsi initio (non quello che c'era al circolab e che non andava, un altro), ma non c'e' nulla da fare: non riusciamo a farlo partire. a quel punto prendiamo il controller e lo mettiamo dentro laundry ma non ci sono configuarizvioni che funzionano. insomma al momento non sappiamo bene che fare con laundry. boh. -- BOFH excuse #435: Internet shut down due to maintenance
